1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Sawt website, waitlist, research preview and related services (together, "Sawt"), operated by Jaize Tech ("we", "us"). By using Sawt you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Sawt.
2. Who can use Sawt
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if higher. If you use Sawt on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these Terms for it.
3. Waitlist and accounts
When you join the waitlist or create an account, give us accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login details safe. Tell us straight away if you think your account has been used without permission.
4. Research preview
Sawt is an early research preview. Features may change, break or be removed at any time, and access may be limited. Speech generated by Sawt is produced by AI models: it can be inaccurate, misheard or inappropriate. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you submit to Sawt, such as text, audio and feedback ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process and use Your Content to run, secure and improve Sawt, as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the rights needed to submit Your Content.
6. Voices and likeness
You may not use Sawt to imitate the voice of a real person without their clear, documented consent, or to mislead people into thinking generated speech is a real recording. Our Acceptable Use Policy sets out these rules in detail and forms part of these Terms.
7. Our intellectual property
Sawt, including its models, software, voices, design and brand, belongs to us or our licensors. Apart from the limited right to use Sawt under these Terms, we grant you no other rights. You may not copy, reverse engineer or resell Sawt except where the law allows it.
8. API access
If you are given access to our API or models for evaluation, the API Evaluation Terms also apply. If they conflict with these Terms, the API Evaluation Terms win for API use.
9. Model releases and open weights
Any plans we share for future models, sizes or open-weight releases are intentions, not commitments. We reserve the right not to release any model, checkpoint or dataset as open weights, to release it under a restrictive licence, or to change or cancel announced releases at any time.
10. Disclaimers
Sawt is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or reputation. Our total liability for any claim relating to Sawt is limited to €100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or gross negligence.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Sawt at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, create risk for others, or if we stop offering the preview. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers and liability) continue after termination.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use Sawt after the change means you accept the new Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless the consumer law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
