Privacy Policy

Translations of this page are provided for convenience. The English text is the binding version.
1. Who we are
Jaize Tech ("we", "us") is the controller of personal data processed through Sawt. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, waitlist, research preview and API evaluation programme.
2. What we collect
- Waitlist details: your email address, the role you pick (creator, developer, agency) and your dialect-model preference.
- Contact messages: your name, email, topic and message.
- Preview usage: if you take part in the research preview, the audio and text you submit, generated responses, ratings and feedback.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, and basic logs needed to run and secure the service.
3. How we use it
- To manage the waitlist and invite you to the preview.
- To reply to your messages.
- To provide, secure and debug Sawt.
- To improve our models, only where you have allowed it (see "Voice data and model training").
- To send product updates, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Legal bases
Under the GDPR we rely on: your consent (waitlist, product emails, model training); performance of a contract (providing the preview to you); our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, basic analytics); and legal obligations where they apply.
5. Voice data and model training
Voice recordings can be personal data. We only use your recordings and transcripts to train or improve our models if you have switched this on. You can switch it off at any time; this stops future use, and you can ask us to delete recordings already collected.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Sawt (for example hosting, email delivery and form handling) under contracts that protect your data, or when the law requires it.
7. Third-party resources on this site
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts and styling code from a third-party content delivery network. When your browser fetches these files, those providers receive your IP address. We plan to host these files ourselves to remove this transfer.
8. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When that happens we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. How long we keep it
Waitlist data is kept until you leave the waitlist or the preview ends. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request, and then for up to 12 months. Preview recordings are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete them.
10. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. These rights come from the GDPR and, for users in Morocco, Law No. 09-08 on the protection of personal data. To use them, contact us through our contact page.
You can also complain to a supervisory authority: in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens; in Morocco, the CNDP.
11. Children
Sawt is not meant for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Cookies
This site does not currently set advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will tell you about significant changes before they take effect.
